Description

  Forum for the Future is looking to appoint a project intern in our Bristol Office for the period May to August. The successful applicant will assist with development and delivery of the West of England Carbon Challenge – helping more than 100 businesses collectively cut their carbon emissions.

Person Specifications:

  • Evidence of project management experience, managing complex data, relationship management, and communication skills are essential.
  • A knowledge of carbon footprinting and environmental management in organisations is desirable.

 

Other general skills for all three roles:

  •  A commitment to the values and mission of Forum for the Future is essential.
  •  An understanding of sustainable development is desirable.
  •  Experience of independent research is desirable.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •  Well organised, able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  •  Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a small team environment.
  •  Good ICT skills are essential.

Based in our Bristol office.
Lunch expenses up to the value of £5 and daily travel expenses from within the Bristol city-region will be covered.
This intern period is for four months between May and Aug 2012. Full or part-time applications will be considered, although we need a minimum commitment of three days a week. Expected start date is Tuesday 1st May. Working hours to be negotiated.
