Description

RESPONSIBILITY:

- The Project Field Assistant reports directly to the Water and Climate Change Programme Manager and the project Assistant, while interfacing with other programme managers, project Assistants, finance, and admin staff of ROWA.
- The Project Field Assistant is responsible for the preparation of work-plans, budgets and progress reports, ensuring quality, deadlines and submission to the donors through the line Manager.
- The Project Field Assistant is based in Amman and will be required to travel to project sites and other locations.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

- Design and oversee the implementation of the projects activities in the field.
- Oversees the operation and execution of services at a work site.
- Supervise the work of the sub-contractor; ensuring deliverables are received on time
- Ensure needed equipment and materials are on hand to complete work on time and according to Program manager expectations.
- By interfacing with farmers, and the agricultural cooperatives Project Field Assistant ensures the smooth operation of field activities, including field safety and work quality.
- The Project Field Assistant should split his time between the office and field locations.
- Prepare the projects work plans, technical and monthly progress reports and any problem in the field and present them to the Programme Manager.
- Provides general support, guidance, and serves as focal point between the field and the office during project implementation.
- Ensures that procedures and donor regulations applicable to projects implemented with regards to program, logistics, security, HR, and administration are closely followed.

OTHERS:

- Perform any other duties as requested by the line manager.

The above job description contains the main duties and responsibilities for this position.
