The Company – Tidal Energy Limited (TEL) is a renewable energy development company specialising in power generation from tidal stream. It is currently engaged in the development of its 1.2MW prototype ‘DeltaStream’ device, proposed for installation off the coast of south west Wales in 2011. As the company now prepares to begin manufacture, it is seeking to strengthen its core capabilities with the appointment of a Project Executive.
The Role – Based in our Cardiff office, your role will be to support the Development Director and Project Manager. You will be tasked to provide commercial, environmental and administrative effort in the execution of the project, and will be expected to liaise and coordinate our work with outside contractors. Your work will be wide ranging within the project and may typically include, but not be limited to: management of the procurement process and subsequent project management of our subcontractors; support for the financial administration of the project to facilitate efficient cash flow e.g. coordination of incoming finance claims and invoices; support for programme schedule management e.g. using project schedule tools; support of development plans including environmental, planning and consenting aspects; support for future business development activities of the company.
Required Qualifications and Experience – Educated to degree level, preferably in a business related discipline or engineering, you are likely to be seeking career development in project management. Experience or knowledge in the renewable energy sector will be an advantage. You will be computer literate, comfortable with use of standard software tools. You will be flexible in approach to reflect the demands of this wide ranging role, highly motivated, full of self-initiative, and confident in personal communication skills.
Remuneration – Attractive. Subject to qualifications and experience.
