We are seeking a Project Engineer to support a team of engineers and geologists on
environmental projects.  This individual will have experience in designing, installing and
operating water treatment systems and environmental remediation systems and
remedies.  This position will be based in our Emeryville office (but may require minimal
travel to project sites through the Bay Area) and has high potential for professional
growth.
The successful candidate will collaborate with other technical professionals at Weiss and
manage remediation tasks and projects; design contaminant remediation approaches;
produce technical reports submitted to regulators and clients; maintain excellent
relations with clients; and assist in developing scopes of work for existing clients.  S/he
will provide high levels of professional expertise for remediation strategies, systems, and
component designs.  S/he will design and execute sound remediation strategies and
systems for groundwater, soils, and vapor intrusion.  S/he will provide innovative
remediation ideas, leadership for remediation projects, and adaptability in solving
unexpected problems.   
Requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, chemical,
environmental, or mechanical engineering) and a minimum of four years of relevant
environmental experience; an advanced degree is a plus.  Current registration as a
California Professional Engineer (Chemical, Civil or Mechanical) is highly desirable.
Experience with engineering documents for CERCLA projects is preferred.
