SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS This individual will be responsible for managing the design and engineering for utility projects in the US. Projects range from approximately 1 MW interconnection at medium voltage to 20+ MW systems interconnected with utility transmission systems up to 500 kV. Project involvement ranges from initial site selection to power generation. The Project Engineer will be responsible for resource planning, consultant management, and overall quality of design. The position will be primarily focused on executing design and engineering of utility projects: managing all aspects of the system design; Civil, Electrical, and Structural disciplines, SCADA design, providing detail construction plans; equipment and installation specifications; obtaining necessary building permits, technical approvals for construction, and construction quality inspections. The Project Engineer will be responsible for direct coordination with all other departments to receive system design approval from all internal stakeholders, overall engineering planning and forecasting activities, as well as day to day production and resource management. |
