New opportunity in Costa Mesa, CA for an experienced Project Engineer to partner with xChange Point Project Solutions Team throughout design and implementation phases to determine engineering point requirements and communicate with cross-platform Teams to support installation and maintenance. As a liaison between Engineering and Software Designers, the Project Engineer also collaborates with Software and Technical Support Teams to facilitate system commissioning and configuration of the xChange Point database and web portal.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide assistance with Project Development activities including: survey new site installations to determine sensor, meter, PLC, SCADA system monitoring and requirements; meter selection and design support; coordinate with contractors during bid phase; review installation software requirements with Project Manager and Controls Engineer on “non-metering” points for database configuration; document metering point properties; collaborate with Solutions Team to identify formulas and performance indicators based upon project scope.
Support Project Initiation and Installation by maintaining, configuring, and updating project metering points; actively participate in system status updates, documentation, scheduling, commissioning, and validation.
Partner with the Project Team to perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and provide ongoing technical support required to ensure complete and thorough documentation, organization, communication, and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle and continuing maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred. Minimum 5 years energy management controls systems experience selecting, installing, configuring, and commissioning process instrumentation including fluid/air/steam flow, temperature, pressure, and power. Direct experience interfacing analog, digital and serial instrumentation devices to PLC, SCADA, and data collection systems. Advanced proficiency with MS office Suite, Viso, and AutoCAD with the ability to develop simple process PI&D and instrument wiring diagrams. Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication and technical presentation skills. Valid Drivers License in good standing, issued by resident state required. U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required. May be required to pass security clearance investigation. Travel required.
