Job Information
The Project Development Specialist is a critical support position on the RGS Energy commercial sales team. This position is responsible for developing presale layouts, schematic drawings, and production analyses, as well as assisting with the development of project proposals and RFP responses.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the efforts of two or more Sales Directors in response to competitive bids and proposal requests
Works with Sales Directors to determine project viability
Conduct site visits to review project conditions, shading, etc.
Establish the initial financial model to be used in customer presentations
Responsible for developing and running solar PV production analyses
Develop sales PV array layouts and schematic design drawings
Interface with internal departments to facilitate information flow as it relates to developing proposals and responding to customer issues
Conduct an analysis of the customer’s energy bill and create a preliminary and initial cost estimate to be used to develop an indicative pricing model
Assist in response efforts for all RFPs, RFQs and bid requests
Essential Qualifications:
CAD experience required
Salesforce experience preferred
College degree in related field preferred
Self-starter
Excellent communication skills
Time management
Project management
Analytical with advanced MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Knowledge of PV Watts and/or PVSYST and understanding of renewable energy
