The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a committed, professional individual to join our highly successful Project Development and Planning team, taking renewable energy projects from initial site assessment, through planning consent to the point of construction, working with our technical teams and external consultants.

Applications are welcomed from experienced candidates (or those with transferable skills) and also from graduates with an aptitude for this area of work.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree (or equivalent level qualification) and ideally have experience in the development of wind energy (or similar) projects. You will be a highly motivated, personable individual who can work unsupervised, with the ability to be flexible while adhering to strict deadlines and with an ability to communicate effectively and to manage consultants. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential along with experience of building and maintaining effective and profitable relationships. Strong planning, time management and project management skills are also a requirement of this post.

Managing and working to budget will be a required element of your job. You will have good IT skills with competency within MS Office suite being essential. Training will be provided where necessary.
A driving licence is essential as the role requires travel throughout the UK. The ability to maintain a reasonable level of fitness is also a requirement. This is a full-time permanent role.

Qualifications/Knowledge

  • Degree in relevant area preferred
  • Project management experience/training
  • An understanding of planning regulations and environmental assessment processes
  • Stakeholder Consultation
  • Client service management
  • Additional assets would include:, environmental knowledge and field experience
