As a leading wind energy company my client has both a global presence within the wind industry and an exceptional reputation. They have had substantial success in the development of onshore and offshore wind farms and are currently looking to bring on board an experienced project development manager to continue their expansion throughout Europe.
Position Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced project development manager to oversee their projects and operations throughout Sweden. The successful candidate must have a minimum 3-5 years previous project development experience with a proven track record in the wind industry. As the project development manager you will be required to proactively source new projects to grow the business along with strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:-
- Take the lead and ensure that wind farm projects are fully compliant with contractual and customer requirements.
- Identify, assess and create project development opportunities
- Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs
- Oversee the prioritization of assignments, budgets and to organize and direct the flow of work to meet both internal and external expectations
- Coordinating and managing on a regional basis
- Development of new projects
- Developing strategies, plans and goals on a global scale with industry leaders
Education:-
- Must have strong academic background in either Business or Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Core Requirements:-
- At least 3-5 years experience with a proven track record in the development and management of wind projects
- Fluent in Swedish
- Excellent management skills
- Be able to understand the total project development operation including material procurement and forecasting
- Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
General Requirements:-
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
Key Skills:-
Large-scale wind projects, team leadership, wind farm experience, experience with utilities, project development, onshore wind, offshore wind, business, civil or electrical or mechanical engineering, fluent in Swedish
