Project Development Manager, Singapore

My client is a leading global business, generating vast amounts of revenue each year as one of the most important and established companies within the sector. They have a leading market position in their field, operating over several continents with one of the most enviable portfolios in the renewable industry.

They are looking for an experienced Project Development Manager to manage carbon abatement projects in South East Asia based in Singapore.

Position Overview:

My client is seeking a Project Development Manager to look after multiple projects and develop their project pipeline throughout South East Asia. They will be responsible for the successful management of these projects from the origination stage through to development and implementation, reporting to the regional director for South East Asia in Malaysia and supported by a team of CDM specialists and commercial experts.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Preparing validation and verification of projects whilst working with project partners and third parties
• ·         Maintaining good client relationships and interacting with project managers
• ·         Sucessful implementation of consulting projects
• ·         Managing and developing the CDM/VDR project cycle
• ·         Coordinating with a team of commercial and technical experts to further the development of the project pipeline
• ·         Developing strategies, plans and goals on a global scale with industry leaders
• ·         Proactively source new business.
• ·         Coordinating and managing on a regional basis
• ·         Manage and lead partnerships with contract partners and plant owners
• ·         Take the lead in project negotiations and offers for relevent contracts

Education:-

• ·         A degree in either Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or in Business Administration or Finance

Core Requirements:-

• 10+ years of experience in Project Development
• Experience of financial modelling, project appraisal and deal structuring
• Experience of drafting and negotiating contracts
• Excellent understanding of carbon abatement technologies
• Excellent understanding of the market structure and dynamics

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Be able to understand the total project operation including material procurement, forecasting, manufacturing and on-time delivery.
• ·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
