Job description

As Project Development Manager, you will be responsible for the development of wind farm projects. PDM will work in coordination with a Development Team to build a pipeline of projects in Sweden. PDM is responsible for all aspects of wind project development, from site selection to successful completion of financing and due diligence. Everyday tasks include; working to obtain land use rights, implementing the collection of wind data and analysis, managing local permitting issues, interconnection procedures, managing third party consultants on environmental permitting, as well as other aspects applicable to wind farm project development. PDM will also work in international collaboration regarding off-take power, project modelling, project proposals, arrangements for finance, construction operation, and other matters.

Your tasks are described as follows:

  • Site identification, feasibility studies, environmental studies, local acceptance, and land lease agreements
  • Establish and manage relationships with officials, regulators, and community leaders
  • Manage environmental studies and permitting processes
  • Work with internal resources, such as Legal, Engineering, and Energy Assessment teams
  • Internally report on pipeline progress
  • Remain up-to-date on changing competition and regulatory conditions

 

Job requirements

To fulfil this you will have the following experience and skills:

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Knowledge & appreciation of technical, commercial, and political aspects driving the industry
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Swedish
  • Ready to work in a dynamic and fast developing atmosphere
  • Understanding of intercultural communication
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis
  • Interest in learning standard wind project software (ex. WindPRO, Arcview)
