Description
The Project Coordinator will ensure the planning, implementation and monitoring of the project’s Caribbean related activities and outputs in a timely manner; s/he will also ensure compliance with all relevant project commitments, including delivery of quality reports and compliance with performance indicators. The Project Coordinator will liaise directly with key regional bodies and stakeholders as well as IUCN Headquarters and IUCN Regional Offices for Central America and the Caribbean, Oceania, and Asia; all in order to articulate, complement and monitor the project’s proper implementation.
Ensure compliance and proper implementation (technical and financial) of relevant project activities and outputs;
• Coordinate strategic and technical actions with Implementing Partners at national and regional level , IUCN Headquarters and IUCN Regional Offices for Central America and the Caribbean, Oceania and Asia; establishment of action plans and communication channels;
• Guide, coordinate and articulate actions with relevant stakeholders at a national level;
• Development of technical reports and work plans;
• Recommend, promote and develop actions that ensure the project’s regional approach;
• Suggest strategies, solutions, or approaches (corrective if needed) that ensure the achievement of project outputs and impacts;
• Planning, design and implementation of coordination meetings, trainings and other relevant activities within the framework of the project;
• Ensure that project activities promote gender equality and avoid adverse gender impacts; and
• Ensure adequate communication and diffusion of project activities and outputs in accordance to provided policies, procedures and documents.
• Provide technical support, on request, to the design and development of knowledge products related to your professional background and/or area of expertise;
• Prepare presentations in relation to the work which you are responsible for and for other tasks that are assigned to you that are related to your experience and professional background;
• Provide technical support in your area of expertise, knowledge and experience; and
• Contribute with the project’s general coordination and articulation by supporting processes and activities assigned to you.
