Essential Qualification
Should posses a Ph.D degree in Botany/Environmental Science from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualification
More than 2 years experience of working in wildlife areas, vegetation surveys and quantification. Ability to work and camp in remote and harsh climatic conditions.
Description of Work
To supervise the household surveys on energy and resource use practices being conducted by local assistants.
To establish permanent plots for long term vegetation monitoring in selected areas of Changthang, Ladakh.
To conduct rapid survey of vegetation and assess the livestock grazing pressure from key wildlife areas, and
To assist in the preparation of final report and establishment of GIS database.
