Description

Responsibilities 

 

              1. Support the day-to-day operations of the PMO; maintain the project website, edit and update the content on a continual basis; 

 

              2. Participate in the implementation of the local project activities; 

 

              3. Assist the Project Manager and the Project Officer in ensuring that the EU Switch Asia procedures are properly followed when communicating with the EU so as not to lose time in unnecessary delays; 

 

              4. Learn INBAR and EC Switch Asia administrative procedures, processes, and requirements and provide administrative support to project staff; 

 

              5. Assure that necessary financial, procurement, disbursement and personnel matters are effectively addressed in close cooperation with colleagues in each of the Provincial and county offices; 

 

              6. Facilitate effective working relationships under each project core-activity and sub-activity; 

 

              7. Keep lines of communication open among key project stakeholders to the extent possible; 

 

              8. Work closely with the INBAR project accountant on a continual basis; 

 

              9. Co-ordinate and assist in travel arrangements, procurement and recruitment for the PMO; 

 

              10. Assist project implementation focused on producing quality results for the money spent in terms of integrated government monitoring system, capacity building for Sichuan end-product SMEs, policy and investment frameworks, and public awareness campaign targeting new consumer and retailer groups; 

 

              11. Assist in the preparation of press releases, statements, and speeches on the project’s activities; 

 

              12. Undertake such other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager. 

 

 

Requirements  

 

              1. University degree in a relevant field (Administration, Business Management, Linguistics); 

 

              2. Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience in handling international funding;

 

              3. Reasonable understanding of budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting; 

 

              4. Experience with donor-assisted international projects, proven record of project administrative support, preferably with European Commission projects; 

 

              5. Knowledge of development issues as related to communications and advocacy, environmental issues in China; Strong writing and editing skills; 

 

              6. Proven analytical and organizational skills for activities and events; critical thinking capacity is the key; 

 

              7. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with government, NGOs, private sector, etc. 

 

              8. Fluent written and oral communication in English language; 

 

              9. Strong communications and interpersonal skills; professionalism and integrity.
