Description

Two project assistants for the project “Ecological Assessment of Sites Designated for Collection of Sand and Boulders from Riverbeds of Uttarakhand” is required.  Interested candidates are requested to attend the Walk-in-interview on 09/06/2011 at 10:00 a.m. Details of the requirement is given below:

Project :

Ecological assessment of sites designated for collection of sand andboulders from river beds of Uttarakhand.

Position : Project Assistant
Number : Two (one ecologist and one GIS Remote sensing)
Fellowship : Rs. 12,000 and HRA
Duration : 4 months
Educational Qualifications : First Class M. Sc. in Life Sciences/Forestry/Environmental Sciences
Desirable Qualifications : Research experience on ecological study of Terrestrial and/or aquaticWildlife and or working experience of Remote sensing and GIS is required.
Age : Below 30 years as on 1.06.2011 with 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/women candidates
Tasks : Field work on assessment of the ecological impact of sand and boulder mining on terrestrial and wetland habitats in Uttarakhand
