Job Description: The Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center is seeking temporary full and part-time project assistants in support of ongoing Everglades restoration projects.

Duties Include: One to two candidates are needed to assist a project on climate envelope modeling for threatened and endangered species. This includes data entry and proofing of scientific databases and collecting information from academic literature. The project assistant(s) will be expected to work for a period of 12-16 weeks, for a minimum of 20 hours per week, on a consistent but flexible schedule.

Qualifications: Excellent grammatical skills and computer proficiency are essential. Experience or interest in ecological research or South Florida/Caribbean ecosystems is helpful but not required. Applicant should have or be pursuing a BA/BS degree in any field, possess excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Salary:Starting pay is between $10-$13 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience. 

Position Starts:Position(s) available immediately and open until filled. Appointment is for 12-16 weeks and can be extended upon successful completion of duties and continued funding.
