Job type: Fixed term until 31st October 2022 (ideally starting from September 2021)

The Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) supports indigenous peoples and traditional populations of the world's rainforest to secure and control the natural resources necessary for their long-term wellbeing and managing these resources in ways which do not harm their environment.

The programmes Administrative Officer is a unique role within the Programmes Support Team and will provide essential backstopping for the delivery of all RFUK projects and programmes.

Role summary

We are looking for a dynamic and committed administrator to join our London-based team. You will be conscientious, with an attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills, and above all have a strong commitment to social and environmental justice. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation working at the nexus of human rights and tropical forest protection.

Reporting to the Programmes Finance and MEL Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day of travel and logistic administration. The Programmes Administrative Officer will also provide the team with support on individual project contracts. Ensuring contractual agreements are administered efficiently to a high standard in line with RFUK procedures and donor requirements. Being highly organised and with a sharp attention to detail, you will support programme finance while working closely with the programmes team to deliver their aims.
