Description

BirdLife International is a global Partnership of NGOs working together for bird and biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to support the development, management and communication of global conservation projects and programmes on forest, seabirds, migration flyways and corporate partnerships. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager of Conservation Department, the post-holder will assist with project and programme development, provide general administrative & programmatic support to the department, assist in preparing contracts, proposals and project reports and also undertake research in support of project activities.

The ideal candidate will have
* Relevant degree-level qualification (conservation - related)
* Knowledge of and interest in conservation , some practical conservation experience would be desirable
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (desirable experience of image processing , Powerpoint, desk-top publishing and pdf creation software )
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work to multiple deadlines.
* Ability to work with people with diverse nationalities and cultural backgrounds
* Willingness to travel internationally on short term trips

Fluency in English is essential and in other languages (especially Spanish and French) advantageous.
