Coordinate the development of the OzonAction’s business plan and submission to the Executive Committee meetings : draft time-bound plan of action for Paris and the regional Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) teams; compile narrative and annexes, coordinate with other implementing agencies on joint activities; prepare briefings for the Inter-Agency Coordination meeting; establish list of submissions to the Executive Committee (Excom) and monitor actual submissions; provide guidance to CAP regions on ExCom guidlines, review and coordinate submissions by Paris and the CAP regions,submit Work Programme Amendments (WPAs) based on actual submissions, incorporate comments by the Fund Secretariat and re-submit WPAs/projects; participate in ExCom, inter-agency coordination and other multi-lateral fund related areas.
Support the implementation of the work programme of Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Network of Ozone Officers and implement national and regional projects in ECA network countries: implement specific ECA network activities including the organization of meetings, compliance & programmatic assistance, awareness activities; draft contractual arrangements and meeting documents; prepare logistical arrangements and liaise with local organizers, participants and resource persons; upload meeting documents to the ECA website; implement national and regional projects in ECA countries including terminal phase-out management plans (TPMPs), institutional strengthening projects and HCFC phase-out management plans (HPMPs); monitor implementation progress and update the monitoring system; review status of completed projects and support the financial completion; participate in ECA network related meetings.
Prepare national and regional project proposals for ECA network countries : Prepare renewals of institutional strengthening projects and multi-year agreements such as HPMPs; prepare regional projects in cooperation with partner agencies such as regional enforcement networks and disposal strategies for ozone-depleting substances; mobilize co-funding for climate benefits.
Develop and implement projects related to Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) and climate-ozone connection : Identify and develop project concepts and project proposals and implement related global projects.
Represent UNEP in workshops and conferences as requested by the Head of Branch.
