Description
Background:
Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) is looking for a Programme Officer for its Rescue Programme. The incumbent should have experience in handling animals, conflict situations and addressing wildlife emergencies.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide programmatic support to Wild Rescue programme, in the areas of budget management, report writing and project planning
  • Provide fast and effective country wide response to wildlife in distress and address their rehabilitation and welfare needs
  • Capacity building of wildlife rehabilitators through  internships and workshops.


Skills:

  • Candidate should have passion for wildlife and should be primarily concerned with animal welfare
  • Willingness to learn and work long hours if necessary
  • Good communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Experience in handling animals, conflict situations and addressing wildlife emergencies


Qualifications:
Graduate or Post Graduate  with experience in wildlife, preferably in wildlife rehabilitation and conflict animal management.

Experience:
2-5 years experience in the above mentioned profile.
