We are looking for a technically competent, conscientious and motivated Programme Officer to work in the Ecosystem Assessment Programme, who will thrive on the opportunity to participate within the international arena. The programme produces high quality biodiversity indicators and provides support to international policy processes. Recent and current work includes the Biodiversity Indicators Partnership, UK National Ecosystem Assessment and the Performance Review and Assessment of Implementation System for the UN Convention to Combat Desertification. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to a high profile portfolio of projects, including the possibility of supporting policy processes, convening partnerships and promoting institutional capacity development. Your work will raise the profile of the Centre to put knowledge at the heart of decision marking for multiple global and local stakeholders. This could be a fantastic career move to contribute to a global agenda within a role that will stretch and challenge you. You will be given the opportunity to represent the Centre at relevant conferences and workshops, both within the UK and internationally and will gain job satisfaction through the successful delivery of important publications, reports and other information outputs.
