Description

We are searching an energetic, extroverted, systematic and self-driven manager for the Bellona Environmental CCS Team (BEST). Building on Bellona’s position as one of the world’s leading NGOs on CCS (CO2 capture and storage), the BEST programme seeks to facilitate the urgent deployment of environmentally sound CCS globally. This will be done by drawing up national roadmaps for deploying CCS in a number of countries, carrying out analysis of key environmental and techno-economic aspects of CCS and building understanding of the need for CCS among key stakeholders internationally.

The manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of BEST people in Oslo, Brussels and a number of other countries, particularly in Europe, as well as managing relationships with financial supporters, industrial players and authorities. As the BEST programme is still under establishment, the manager will be expected to play a leading role in putting in place an effective organizational setup and efficient administrative processes.

The position is based at Bellona’s head office in Oslo, and a substantial amount of traveling is expected. Working language is mostly English. Norwegian would be an advantage but is not a must.

Qualifications: Higher education, experience from project management and a minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience.

Profile: Good written and oral communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, structured and results oriented, personal interest in environmental and climate change issues.

Salary according to qualifications and experience.
