Programme Manager (6-month contract) £26,893 - £33,730 Oxford Could you run a successful conservation programme? If so, you could be part of an international environmental charity that’s achieving great things: Earthwatch. About us Earthwatch is committed to conserving the diversity and integrity of life on earth. Our mission is to engage people worldwide in scientific field research and education, in order to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment. As part of our team, you can help us take a big step forward. About the role All over the world, Earthwatch programmes are making a difference to our planet. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that your specific programme advances our mission; makes best use of resources; and meets the expectations of those we’re working with and for. In short, the goal is to deliver an excellent Earthwatch experience. We want each programme to generate high quality field research and transformational learning which improves our knowledge. We also want everyone involved to feel inspired by our work (which must follow safety and EMS standards at all times). To achieve this, you will need to carefully manage our partner relationships, deliver projects on time and on budget, and lead your team to perform at their best. About you To join us, you must be qualified to MSc-level (or equivalent) in an Environmental, Management, Science or Business discipline, with awareness of corporate responsibility and social investment. We will also be looking for a proven ability to deliver projects; conduct literature reviews and rapidly build strong relationships. Strong communication skills will be essential – you should be capable of presenting complex information in a simple way. However, the key to this role is understanding what makes a successful conservation project. This is your opportunity to make a major contribution to improving environmental sustainability.
