Programme Manager - Government Programmes (Transport)

Salary: £33,627- £39,250 per annum depending on experience.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team providing effective and efficient management of programmes for the Energy Saving Trust’s Government clients. This role will primarily involve the management of the Department for Transport programme and any related contractual activities, specifically; client liaison, progress reporting and finance management.

Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will undertake all elements of programme and contract management including; tendering, financial planning and analysis, creating and implementing operational processes and procedures, project management, monitoring and reporting. You will liaise with a number of stakeholders, contractors and internal teams as well as line manage temporary staff. Although the role will be focused on delivering the Transport work plan, there will be opportunities also to work across the broader government programmes portfolio.

Your ability to plan and prioritise competing projects, to drive and negotiate to influence results is essential in this dynamic environment.  Your well refined communication skills and experience of building effective relationships internally and externally will be fundamental to your effective performance. Additionally, your overall business management skills and financial acumen will underpin the successful delivery of programmes.
