Programme Assistant (AD816)

Business, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and Protected Areas
Support Officer Grade
Salary depending on skills and experience
12 month fixed contract 

This post is to provide administrative, organisational and technical support to the Heads of the Business, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (BBES) and Protected Areas (PAP) Programmes at UNEP-WCMC.

As Programme Assistant, you will use your excellent organisational and administrative skills to support the programmes with activities such as organising meetings and supporting travel planning. You will act as the communications focal point for the programmes, including the review, update and publishing of website content, compilation of internal bulletins and reports from the Programmes.

You will be provided with valuable exposure to our numerous projects and will play a key role in supporting the project administration side of this by maintaining excellent programme information management records and running internal reports.

You will preferably hold a degree in a scientific field, particularly with a natural or social sciences focus and will be highly organised enabling you to effectively manage multiple tasks and requests. You will have an understanding of the essential characteristics of successful partnership-building and will be able to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively.
