Convene: Initiate, plan and organise multi-disciplinary events

Translate: Publish research in accessible formats in order to inform relevant audiences

What we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hardworking, organised and self-motivated. A strategic mind-set is important as we are a small, dynamic team, covering a diverse range of roles, from business development and project management to stakeholder engagement and communications. Our small team aims to achieve large goals. The role offers the opportunity to gain experience across multiple areas of project development. The ideal candidate will be proactive, committed, flexible, adaptive and a quick learner.

We offer a six-month internship contract, with genuine potential for extension and promotion.

 Your skills and experience:

  • Graduate in a relevant degree (climate, environment, sustainability, international policy, etc.), plus relevant work experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management and experience of working in a project based environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with external stakeholders
  • Ability to synthesise complex research into accessible formats for a range of audiences
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks across several projects
  • A self-starter who can oversee projects from start to finish
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office, internet-based tools, and social media
  • Excellent grasp of the current climate policy context
  • Experience in climate communications, and understanding of how social media can advance climate action and research
  • An understanding of the research – policy interface (and a desire to learn more!)

Desirable (would be an advantage, although not essential to the role)

  • Interest in industrial decarbonisation policy
  • Fluent in a second language

Salary: London Living Wage

The job would in principle be based at our offices in Aldgate, Central London; however, a significant amount of home working may be required, depending on the developing situation with Covid-19. At this time, the team is fully operational working from home.

The role is dynamic, fast-paced and challenging, with an incredibly supportive organisational atmosphere.”
