Description

Join us at an exciting time of growth and change, in a crucial role within our organisation, as a Programme Administrator. We are looking for a highly motivated and conscientious Administrator to work flexibly across programmes within the Centre. You will be responsible for providing extensive administrative support to a team of technical staff and assist with the implementation of a wide range of projects.  A truly fantastic opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills within various thematic areas of conservation, learning from world class experts in this field, helping to improve the profile of our work. You will be part of a new team of Administrators forming a central administration hub, with functional guidance from our Management Information Officer, to maintain effective administration processes and cross-programmatic consistency.

As a Programme Administrator, you will use your excellent organisational and administrative skills to compile project reports, provide event management support, and maintain and update the centre’s project management and Finance system, Deltek. You will also fulfil programme focal point responsibilities for publications, communications and social media, support with licensing administration, and attend various meetings and events, liaising with clients and partners. In addition, the role involves supporting the Programme(s) with resource planning, responding to requests for information both internally and externally, alongside maintaining computer and paper filing systems.

You will be computer literate, flexible in approach and able to effectively manage multiple tasks and requests. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative to make improvements. You will demonstrate a professional approach and be capable of developing an excellent understanding of the centres policies and procedures.  Knowledge of key biodiversity issues and concepts; experience in coordinating partners, networks, stakeholder groups or steering committees; working internationally; and fluency in another UN language would be an advantage.

The Centre’s staff are passionate, experienced, ambitious and results-orientated, providing you with a brilliant opportunity to develop and contribute to your own skills. In addition to training and development opportunities, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including generous pension contributions.

If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging post where you can impress us with your motivation, commitment and ‘can-do’ attitude, we want to hear from you. Please complete a WCMC application form and send it together with your CV and a short covering letter by clicking through the link below by 5th November 2017.
