Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and conscientious Programme Administrator to provide administrative and organisational support to our Ecosystem Assessment and Policy Support Programme (EAPS). In this role you will be responsible for supporting a team of technical staff on a range of projects relating to biodiversity indicator development, implementation and communication, regional and national ecosystem assessments, ecosystem accounting, national biodiversity strategies, multi-lateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and the impacts of agriculture on biodiversity.

As Programme Administrator, you will use your excellent organisational and administrative skills to support the Head of Programme, dedicated Project Management Officer and project leaders in fulfilling a range of project tasks including project reporting, events management and the preparation of funding applications and information for publications.

You will be highly organised and able to effectively manage multiple tasks and requests. Some knowledge of key biodiversity and ecosystem services issues and concepts; experience in coordinating partners, networks, stakeholder groups or steering committees and working internationally; and fluency in another UN language would be an advantage.

The Centre’s staff are experienced, ambitious and results-orientated, providing an excellent environment to develop and contribute to your own skills. In addition to training and development opportunities, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including generous pension contributions.

If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging post where you can impress us with your organisational skills, motivation and commitment we want to hear from you. Please note we are happy to consider people on a part time or full time basis for this role with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Please complete a WCMC application form and send it together with your CV and a short covering letter by clicking through the link below by 31st March 2019.

You should note that this is not a UN post and we can only accept applications from those eligible to work in the UK.
