Job Description:

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the global conservation organization, seeks a Program Officer for the Business & Industry (B&I) program. This Program Officer will be responsible for helping to inform and coordinate corporate relationships across the organization and will play a substantial role in boosting WWF's private sector work aimed at developing innovative, cost-efficient solutions to climate change.

The Program Officer will work closely with the B&I Director and Senior Program Officers as well as other WWF global teams and offices. This person is responsible for research and project management tasks related to the B&I team's fostering and convening of corporate relationships. These relationships will help WWF deliver it's conservation mission by transforming business practices, championing pre-competitive and sustainable solutions, and leveraging corporate assets for broader reach. This person will be most deeply engaged on the climate components of WWF's corporate outreach, and will directly engage private sector partners to develop carbon reduction strategies.

The primary responsibilities are as follows: (1) Research and prepare background materials for WWF's private sector work, with an emphasis on climate protection. (2) Help to manage WWF's emerging platform for corporate energy and climate issues (e.g. perform analysis, drive the production of a report on US emissions, manage relationships with key partners, coordinate communications and fundraising strategies, design next phase of program). 2) Engage private sector stakeholders via phone, email, in-person meetings, publication of updated communication materials, and through the organization of workshops and seminars for corporate stakeholders (e.g. coordinate logistics, secure speakers, draft agendas, design content). (3) Prepare and provide concise and compelling presentations to corporate and NGO audiences. (4) Support fundraising activities, including developing and editing proposal narratives. (5) Recruit and manage the B&I internship program. (6) Represent WWF at relevant events and conferences related to climate change, emissions, reporting and reductions, and policy topics.

Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelors degree or related experience in Environmental Science/Management, Public Policy, Economics, Business or a related field is required. A minimum of 4 years in program management and experience in business, environment, public policy, or a related field is also required.

Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of energy/climate change sector is preferred. Masters in Business Administration

Skills & Abilities:
A self-starter who is able to work independently in addition to being team-oriented. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate communication among geographically dispersed collaborators. Strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/CRM/SharePoint/Social Media skills are a plus.
