Communicate and identify potential projects with member organizations.
Popularise new small hydropower technology in IN-SHP member countries and other developing countries.
Promote technology transfer between China and IN-SHP member countries and use appropriate technology to carry out rural electrification projects in poor areas.
Assist with the organisation of international conferences and seminars.
Assist with the development of project proposals.
Stay abreast of relevant knowledge in the field.
Establish and maintain the databases of relevant SHP statistics.
Collect, update and edit the IN-SHP newsletter and relevant publications.
Assist the update of the website.
Qualifications
Professional experience from working with hydropower development institutes, public utilities and governments in developing countries.
Academic degree in engineering.
Required skills
Knowledge of renewable energy sector.
Knowledge of database management.
Excellent communication skills to maintain relations with bilateral donor institutions.
Ideally project management experience.
Background knowledge of renewable energy sector in China desirable.
Prior experience of working in an international organisation, preferably in the field of environmental issues / social development and poverty issues / international aid.
Ability to plan, prioritize and deliver tasks on time.
