• Provide support to Green Communities developers with specific responsibilities for developing and posting content to the Green Communities website, list serves, and all social media networks. • Coordinate external communications with program partners, housing professionals, technical assistance providers, municipalities and state governments working on green building strategies. • Research emerging trends in green affordable housing and provide written analysis of new programs, policies and green development tools for staff, housing professionals and relevant external partners • Coordinate creation and distribution of monthly Green Communities newsletter. • Draft and publish online case studies of Green Communities projects. • Provide support to deliver and participate in forums on topics related to green affordable housing. • Provide regular communication to Enterprise Impact Markets and Departments on training, technical assistance, and financial products. • Support project groundbreakings and openings. • Assist with resource development. • Perform other duties/projects as assigned. • Able to travel out of town several times per year to attend meetings, events and conferences.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Political Science, Communications, Urban Planning or a related field.
• 3-5+ years experience in housing and community development.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Strong computer skills, thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel, HTML, and Outlook.
• Experience using social media platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
• Must be highly motivated, be able to work independently, solve problems and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work as an effective, collaborative team member across Enterprise Departments and Impact Markets.
