Program Managers for BC, Atlantic Canada

Bird Studies Canada (BSC) is a national charitable organization dedicated to advancing the understanding, appreciation, and conservation of wild birds and their habitats through research, monitoring, "Citizen Science," and education.

We are currently seeking applicants for Program Managers in British Columbia (Delta, BC office) and Atlantic Canada (Sackville, NB office).

Each regional Program Manager works cooperatively with senior management and other staff, and reports to BSC's President. Each is responsible for the coordination and delivery of a variety of BSC's national programs in their region, and for the design, development, management, and delivery of regional projects.

Each Program Manager should hold an M.Sc. with relevant experience or a Ph.D. (In exceptional cases, an Hons. B.Sc. and significant relevant experience may be acceptable.) The position demands: initiative; entrepreneurial skills; staff, volunteer, and organizational management skills; strong communication skills (written and oral); computer knowledge; analytical skills; and solid ornithological knowledge. Familiarity with the region in question is an asset.

The positions have a salary range of $52,000-$75,000 plus benefits.
