PECI is seeking a Program Manager to work with their Southern CA grocery program team. This position plays a critical role in managing and achieving goals for complex grocery retrofit projects and requires experience and confidence in managing the scope and execution of projects within a program portfolio. Candidates must have experience in managing large projects with multiple high-quality deliverables on tight deadlines. Strong organizational and adaptive management skills along with a proven ability to multitask are a must. This individual must also have proven success managing and developing long term client relationships. Background in energy efficiency or in working with utilities is a plus. 

The Program Manager will work out of the Portland headquarters with the expectation of eventually relocating to our satellite office in Southern CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of internal and external client work plans and goal trackers to ensure that project goals are being met
  • Issue resolution for contractors, customers, and field staff, ensuring that program goals are met and that all stakeholders are satisfied
  • Has the discretionary skill to negotiate new options outside of the status quo
  • Able to synthesize new information and develop options for implementation
  • Track program deliverables and tasks, ensuring the team has the necessary support to meet goals
  • Prioritize and adjust deliverables as needed
  • Develop and monitor progress towards program goals & forecasting
  • Management of monthly client report and other client requests
  • Provide management oversight and support to Portland-based team members. Work closely with remote staff
  • Manage and maintain budgets that operate interactively with savings goal attainment
  • Utilize technical systems and analysis to evaluate, modify and manage program
  • Propose and design new processes and workflows to ensure optimal performance
  • Investigate business and delivery models for new products and markets

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in program management required
  • Experience managing and mentoring a staff as well as cross functional leadership and influence required
  • Willing to relocate to Southern California
  • Bachelors degree required, Master’s degree highly desirable
  • Experience in budget and resource management and forecasting  
  • A strong ability to manage and absorb technical details and information from a big picture perspective in order to direct a technical team and program
  • Ability to think and communicate creatively and strategically
  • Ability to work under pressure, with energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong problem-solving skills and issue resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Results oriented and able to multi-task in a dynamic work environment
  • Expert in Excel, Word, Access and/or other project management systems
