Bird Studies Canada (BSC) is a national charitable organization dedicated to advancing the understanding, appreciation, and conservation of wild birds and their habitats through research, monitoring, "Citizen Science," and education.

We are currently seeking applicants for a Program Manager position in British Columbia (Delta office).

This regional Program Manager will work cooperatively with senior management and other staff, and will report to BSC's President. The Program Manager will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of a variety of BSC's national programs in BC, and for the design, development, management, and delivery of regional projects.

The Program Manager should hold an M.Sc. with relevant experience or a Ph.D. (In exceptional cases, an Hons. B.Sc. and significant relevant experience may be acceptable.) The position demands: initiative; entrepreneurial skills; staff, volunteer, and organizational management skills; strong communication skills (written and oral); computer knowledge; analytical skills; and solid ornithological knowledge. Familiarity with BC and the province's conservation community is an asset.
