Program Director of Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary

Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary is seeking applicants for our full-time Program Director position. We are a non-profit organization and all money raised goes directly to the animals’ care and welfare.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with handling tigers or exotic cats and supervisory experience. The Program Director will supervise 2 caretaker employees. Animal caretaking and welfare is the focus of the job: daily duties include cleaning facility, feeding of animals, and enrichment activities for the animals. The feeding of the animals does require the cutting and handling of raw meat. Good organizational skills required for daily recordkeeping portion of the job for tasks completed.

Applicant must have good communication and public speaking skills for presentations for our educational programs in the schools from K-12 and for giving tours; which are given Tuesday – Sunday. Must have knowledge of standard operating procedures for emergencies and maintain the policies that are already in place. Other administrative duties will be included.

Salary is based on education and experience. Benefits are available. Housing for relocations and a company cell phone is provided.

Bachelor’s degree in veterinarian, animal science, or an animal related field is required. Must be in good physical condition (bend, twist, lift, walk uphill and down hill), and must have a clean driving record. Hours are from 8am – 4pm with days off either Tuesday & Wednesday or Thursday & Friday. Job requires work on every weekend and some holidays. Presence required at all fundraising events for set-up and break-down as well as working specified job.
