Provide support to maintain the Green Communities Criteria with specific responsibilities for energy efficiency criterion updates including the comparison across nationally recognized energy codes, legislative initiatives and green residential building programs.
Coordinate delivery of technical assistance to developers, Enterprise staff, housing professionals and other partners seeking to meet the Green Communities energy efficiency criterion.
Inform the development and delivery of the Green Communities certification process and administrative protocols.
Advise development of federal energy policy and administrative rulemaking related to affordable housing.
Able to complete desktop energy audits for multifamily buildings with industry accepted software.
Oversee performance-related inspections during and after construction.
Support development and delivery of training related to energy efficiency and building envelope improvements in affordable housing.
Able to travel out of town several times per year to perform site visits, deliver training, attend meetings and conferences.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and/or Engineering or a related technical field.
Six (6) or more years of experience in the energy or engineering services sector completing energy audits and analysis; advanced degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience.
Strong computer skills, thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
Must be highly motivated, be able to work independently, solve problems and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work as an effective, collaborative team member across Enterprise Departments and Impact Markets.
