The Donella Meadows Leadership (DML) Fellows Program seeks to accelerate the shift to global sustainability by increasing the effectiveness of well-positioned sustainability leaders.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing and implementing a variety of tasks that ensure that the DML Program functions smoothly and effectively. The program coordinator works closely with the Fellowship and Alumni Network teams to facilitate the ongoing development of the current class of Fellows and the growing alumni program, which includes a social networking project. The position reports to the Donella Meadows Leadership Fellows Program Director.
Responsibilities
Coordinate Fellowship Application Process
Develop system for accepting and managing applications
Track and manage application information and standing
Manage communications with applicants
Manage scholarship allocation
Coordinate logistics for Fellowship and Alumni Network Workshops
Identify, manage and ensure that all logistics are communicated to contracted individuals
Provide onsite logistics and assistance in workshops
Communicate logistics information to participants and assist in travel arrangements if necessary
Manage workshop finances
Workshop Design
Attend Fellowship workshop design meetings, keep working agenda updated, provide input
Design and implement online evaluation tool for each Fellowship workshop
Follow-up with Fellows to ensure full evaluation participation
Research and develop potential curriculum offerings
Create a curriculum resource that can be shared with others
Program Communication
Write, layout and distribute workshop reports
Manage program information on website and develop/update website materials, brochures and flyers
Develop and implement team communication tools
Create slide-sets, reports and other materials featuring Climate Interactive output and results
Program Integration
Integrate tools from other SI programs into the DML Program where appropriate.
Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in sustainability issues; commitment to working for global sustainability; interest in climate change science and policy
Strong interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills; a desire to make things run smoothly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Word, Excel, FileMaker, and web software.
Location This position will be located in our Hartland, VT office.
Salary Commensurate with experience; range is $30,000-$40,000. Excellent benefits.
