Competitive remuneration package

Our vibrant, modern University has ambitious plans for its future. Our two main campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford are being transformed with major capital investments. With an annual income of £120m, 24,000 students and 2,000 staff, we are a major force for higher education in the East of England.

We have an impressive range of research groups and research activity in the field of sustainability. It is our intention to consolidate this work within the Global Sustainability Institute and create a centre of excellence in teaching, consultancy and research. As a University-wide Institute it will focus activity across a broad portfolio including sustainable built environment, technology, environment, tourism, business practice, education and health. This is an exciting opportunity for a distinguished academic to establish this Institute and ensure it becomes a recognised centre of excellence for this region and the UK.

As part of this role you will also be expected to establish a research presence in our new University Centre at Peterborough.

The successful candidate will be an internationally recognised researcher with a background in an aspect of sustainability. You will have a track record of successful leadership within a research focussed environment, with the ability to establish, lead and develop a research team.
