Description

Implement project with the assistance of the UNDP Country Office, Project Coordinator will perform the duties specified below and provide more technical assistance as required by the project team to meet project objectives. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the project complies with its obligations under the GEF and UNDP, with special attention to aspects of project management, including staff supervision, liaison between stakeholders, implementation of activities and reporting. The Project Coordinator will lead the Project and be responsible for daily management of project activities and delivery of their products. The Project Coordinator will support and be guided by the Steering Committee (SC) of the project and coordinate the activities of all members, officers and consultants regarding project implementation. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Make recommendations for modifications to the project budget and, where appropriate, submit proposals for budget revisions.
• Prepare detailed work plan and budget.
• Facilitate planning sessions and project decisions.
• Organize the recruitment of consultants, other agencies and experts for the project, including preparation of TORs for all technical assistance needed and supervise their work.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision of all project activities.
• Monitor the progress of the project carried out by local and international experts, consultants, subcontractors and partners.
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of all project results and reports.
• Promote, establish and maintain links with other national projects and national and international programs.
• Fundraise and secure co-financing for the project in coordination with the project partners (G5).
• Organize meetings at least once every quarter and annual review meetings and final, as required by the UNDP, and act as Secretary of the CD.
• Coordinate and report on the work of all actors under the direction of the CD to the government of Colombia and the UNDP.
• Organize workshops, consultations or meetings required.
• Prepare and attend annual review meetings.
• Ensure that all information is available in a timely manner for the CD on national activities, including activities of private and public sector that impact the project.
• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports and financial reports for the CD and UNDP, as needed.
• Assist in the development of educational materials, promotional and marketing in relation to project objectives, accomplishments and other topics relevant to the project.
• Coordinate and participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises and audits  to evaluate the success and implementation of the project and make recommendations for project modifications.
• Perform other tasks related to the project to achieve its strategic objectives.
• Ensure that the project uses best practices and experiences of similar projects.
• Ensure that all project activities are carried out according to the program and budget for achieving the project results
