Instructions:

The goal of Product Marketing Managers is to bring world-class products to market that deliver on our promises to drive preference, satisfaction and loyalty. As EfficiencySMART Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing a marketing plan for EnerNOC’s Energy Efficiency offerings as well as supporting the implementation of the sales plan to achieve overarching EfficiencySMART goals and objectives. Specifically, the Product Marketing Manager will:

  • Be the resident product/technology expert, fluent in all aspects of the offering across departments at EnerNOC
  • Own product definition including value proposition, benefits, target segments, unmet needs, pricing, terms and conditions, positioning
  • Work closely, build strong relationships, and ensure strategic alignment with sales leadership and regional field sales teams
  • Develop product customer knowledge through research and analyses of customer, competitor, and industry market developments
  • Work with EfficiencySMART Product Managers to provide input into product innovation and development, inform and challenge the roadmap, propose and evaluate customer use cases and ensure Product Marketing and Product Management are tightly aligned.
  • Work with DemandSMART / SupplySMART Product Marketing Manager and Field Marketing Managers to understand, enhance and leverage positioning and value messaging for bundled product offerings
  • Employ and embed knowledge of product and buyer personas in marketing campaign strategy and messaging
  • Build and manage relationships with energy efficiency industry and trade associations to support marketing opportunities
  • Manage the development and use of EfficiencySMART marketing collateral, including the training of EE BDMs on new collateral and tools
  • Be a customer advocate and act as a knowledgeable and vocal EnerNOC champion for energy efficiency customer needs
  • Identify and improve go-to-market processes and create tools to internally support sales and marketing team productivity
  • Be intimately familiar with marketing goals and internal ROI benchmarks. Track progress against product goals and ROI requirements, identify issues, and recommend and execute on solutions to address any areas of underperformance

Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:

  • MBA preferred
  • Two or more years of professional work experience within the energy sector or a related industry
  • Excellent writing skills
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity and preferably proficiency with salesforce.com
  • Familiarity with marketing automation systems a plus
