Product Manager, Southern Germany. €65-€75k+ Bonus
My client is a leading CSP/CPV power plant developer, with a strong market presence in Europe and the USA. They are currently looking to recruit a senior product manager. They seek an energetic, highly-organized individual with great communication skills to join their team. The product manager will help prepare and maintain a marketing support program for their equipment product lines and will coordinate implementation with multiple functional teams including technical services, engineering and field sales organization.
Core Criteria: My client is seeking a senior product manager, who will liaise with the R&D team so has to have a good technical knowhow to rely information to them and a good commercial experience to deal with customers and financers, when discussing and marketing products.
Responsibilities:-
- Direct the development of product requirements for equipment
- Develop product strategy definition, marketing requirements analysis, and pricing
- Monitor the development of business plans, managing lifecycles, and product positioning in the marketplace
- Break down broad concepts and business strategies into very specific, structured product marketing plans
- Conduct relevant market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs
- Establishes product-specific strategic positioning strategies
- Interact with engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance the competitiveness of existing product
- Prepare and coordinate marketing support programs and product launches
- Aid with planning and creation of advertising and promotional materials
- Provide sales technical training for sales staff.
- Work with field sales staff to develop training requirements and sales tools required to introduce new products and sales campaigns for all or part of product line
- Make presentations to customers
Requirements:-
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in product management in solar PV, preferably coming from a solar PV project development background
- A minimum 3-5 years experience in sales or marketing is also favourable
- Must have strong educational background in business administration or marketing discipline (MBA would be desirable)
- Good knowledge of planning processes and procedures
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
- Good MS Office skills (excellent Excel skills
- Good time management skills and multi-tasking skills, to successfully complete a variety of basic job duties and responsibilities in a timely manner
- Good organizational skills and detail orientation, to maintain accurate planning records in an optimal manner
- Good problem solving skills for solving and implementing solutions when they arise
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, to regularly interact with and provide updates on progress to peers, and members of the management team
Key Skills:
Solar PV, product management experience, sales, marketing, fluency in German & good level of spoken English
