Goals of the position
SOLON Corporation is looking for a driven, smart, and collaborative Maintenance Technician to make things happen as a member of our Operations group. Primarily responsible for owning and driving innovative product solutions across development, sales, manufacturing and supply chain.
Area of activity
Drives product development, sales, manufacturing, and project management by defining and revising market requirements and product requirement documents.
Works closely with key customers and their marketing, sales and support to manage new product releases and upgrades to customers.
Manages product life cycle from conception through end of life.
Develops and drives the product road map, including product design iterations, for specific product(s).
Creates concept documents, business and uses cases for new and existing products.
Manages the generation of technical white papers and product testing to support customer demand.
Provides the Company with in-depth market knowledge of competitors and their products, and maintains analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
Collaborates with senior management to develop and achieve growth strategies and profitability targets.
Identifies and drives continual improvement in SOLON products manufactured for the North American market.
Develops and maintains the required documentation for all necessary certifications and listings. Manages the certification process through coordination with the Certification team.
Coordinates and communicates among intra-Company colleagues and leverages product development expertise.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Your profile
BS or BA degree in an applicable field from an accredited college or university. Technical degree highly preferred. MBA a plus.
3-5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, product development or brand management necessary. Solar industry experience strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills a must.
Experience with cross-functional teams that include engineering, sales and marketing staff.
Ability to effectively interface with customers.
Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with executive management.
Experience working with contracts desired.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Travel up to 35% to meet as needed with colleagues and customers.
