The Product Manager is responsible for launching new products and services for the Recyclebank Marketplace. Key areas of responsibility include market requirements gathering and product definition, working hand-in-hand with internal and external clients, design and technology teams, and guiding projects through the entire product development lifecycle. The role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced agile environment.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Responsible for a suite of Social Commerce capabilities across multiple platforms (e.g. website, Facebook, Twitter, mobile) which support the overall digital member experience
  • Anticipate industry and product trends, capability prioritization and tradeoffs, balancing business needs versus technical constraints
  • Understand key commerce product integration practices and drive development of integrated commerce experiences, including best in class shopping tools, recommendation engines, incorporation of 3rd party APIs, and shopping cart technologies.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the product vision and strategy, propose business cases for features, and achieve team buy-in on priorities based on analysis of customer needs, trends, competitive landscape, and business models.
  • Partner with developers, external technology vendors and business partners for detailed business requirements, ensuring milestones are met and initiatives are delivered on time with the optimum customer experience, performance, quality and design standards are planned and met
  • Support efforts to ensure call center/servicing/sales organizations are prepared to support the products and services based on changes and updates
  • Support activities to ensure production stability and optimal end-to-end customer experience with all integrated activities and support functions
  • Track bugs and define areas for constant UX enhancement and optimization
  • Understand and discuss technical concepts, and propose new product ideas with non-technical and technical employees

 

QUALIFICATIONS



  • BA/BS and 4 years+ overall years experience in product management, product marketing or related technical role
  • Experience with key product management functions, including writing requirements, and creating mocks/wireframes, market research, competitive analysis, product planning and reporting
  • Metrics driven experience in defining and developing products to meet customer requirements
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners/clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Organizational skills such as task management and decision making
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines
