SOLON Corporation is looking for a driven, smart, and collaborative Process Engineer (Manufacturing) to make things happen as a member of our Solar Products Product Development group. Process Engineer Solar Products (f/m)
Goals of the position
- Responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining process engineering procedures and production equipment.
Area of activity
- Maintains a high level of production quality, based on process engineering tools and process controls. Defines conditions that assure process stability.
- Will own and drive equipment availability, product reliability, yield and cost.
- Effectively uses statistical tools for data analysis and applies probability, statistical, modeling and prediction reliability tools appropriately.
- Conducts in-depth analysis and uses a structured methodology to identify the true root causes of a situation or event and is able to quantify the probability and consequence of an undesirable event.
- Identifies opportunities and supports implementation for improvement and optimization of the plant operations.
- Supports the introduction and ramp up of new products or recipes through which would involve DOE, data extraction, data analysis, defining conclusions and subsequent process characterization.
- Creates and maintains ownership of process work instructions.
- Introduces and adapts to the requirements of the working reference documentation and quality system. Supports the training of production employees.
- Communicates, cooperates and shares best practices with Process Engineers of other SOLON production sites.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Your profile
- Degree in electrical, mechanical engineering or other close related fields.
- A minimum of five years experience in a production environment.
- Solar technology Background is desirable.
- Experience with ERP system (SAP) and proficiency in the use of end-user computing tools (Excel, Access, Powerpoint), CAD-based Software.
- Ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented.
- German communication skills helpful.
