This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marine scientist to play a leading role in developing and managing the MMO’s Research and Development Programme which is an intrinsic part of the MMO’s Strategic Evidence Plan (SEP), developed to support the organisation’s operational functions, particularly marine planning.
This role will be responsible for managing the MMO’s research programme which will enhance the MMO’s evidence base on key areas, such as fisheries, co-location and cumulative effects, socio-economics, seabed habitat mapping, and ecosystem services.
Your key responsibilities will be to lead on developing research projects, liaising and co-ordinating joint working with other evidence commissioning bodies and effectively disseminating research.
