About the Role

We now have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced ecologist to join our Edinburgh-based ecology team.  In this role you will work with a range of disciplines to provide specialist advice to our public and private sector clients on a variety of projects from environmental impact assessments for road and railway improvement schemes to providing information to support planning applications for development projects and contributing to masterplans. 

You will be responsible for managing ecology and multi-disciplinary projects, managing staff, writing bids and reports, generating client contacts and providing technical advice for Environmental Impact Assessments and management plans. 

 

About You

The successful candidates will have experience in Ecology, particularly in Phase 1 / protected species survey.  Good communication and report writing skills are essential as well as the ability to lead a team.  Qualifications required for the role would include a relevant degree, membership of IEEM or equivalent and Chartered Environmentalist status.
