Right now, we’re looking for an experienced Senior/Principal ecologist to join our national ecology team in one of our three Queensland offices(Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast).
 
To be successful in the role you will be a motivated ecological professional with at least 10 years professional experience. You will have a flair for delivering innovative environmental solutions and working with clients across a diverse range of projects. Possessing formal qualifications in ecology/botany/zoology or a related field, you will be able to deliver outcomes across a range of environmental projects, including environmental impact studies, ecological management plans, conservation strategies and broad-scale ecological assessments.
 
Specifically, the successful applicant will have a thorough working understanding of the planning and environmental approvals system relating to ecological values in Queensland (and nationally). Demonstrated field experience in either flora or fauna assessments (or both), with particular experience in eastern Australia, working knowledge of the ecological issues relevant to development and infrastructure projects, flexibility and adaptability to varied and changing project demands, particularly relating to large infrastructure projects, ability to lead and coordinate the ecology component of projects, an area of specialisation pertinent to flora or fauna, superior writing and communication skills and solid, yet realistic, environmental ethics.
