Our client, a large multi-disciplinary consultancy have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced contaminated land specialist to join its environment division in Surrey as a Principal Consultant.

The Job

The Principal Contaminated Land Consultant will take charge of a small team, acting as technical lead and project manager on a range of contaminated land projects in the UK and abroad. Our client offer a technically challenging project load and this position will also present the successful candidate with excellent opportunities to engage in project work overseas.

The Principal Contaminated Land Consultant will be very much client-facing, so confidence and experience of liaising with clients on both project delivery and business development matters is essential, as is proficiency in the preparation of bids and proposals. The Principal Consultant will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff and assisting in their professional development.

Essential:

• Relevant academic/professional qualifications, to include Chartership in either geology, chemistry, engineering or environmental sciences
• Substantial UK contaminated land experience in a professional consultancy environment
• Strong commercial awareness
• Full driving licence
