An international company with many years of experience working within the energy and climate change sector is looking to fill the position of Principal Consultant: Policy and Climate Change for the area of Johannesburg Requirements:· A relevant tertiary degree in Climate Change, Environmental studies or Engineering· Extensive experience in the climate change consulting environment· Extensive experience working with government and other key stakeholders within the energy sector· Understanding of local, regional and international developments in both the climate change and sustainable energy sectors· Project Management experience· Experience in business development· Understanding of CDM Processes and the Kyoto Protocol Framework Responsibilities:· Develop and manage projects within the climate change and sustainable energy fields· Work with existing and emerging clients to develop energy and climate change policies and strategies with governments and the private sector· Work with the public and private sector to develop and implement carbon management processes· Project documentation for GHG mitigation projects· Undertake socio-economic cost-benefit analysis on projects, policies and plans· Support business development activities· Identify international business opportunities· Prepare and support the preparation of proposals for new projects· Direct or manage projects and ensure delivery to client on time and within the agreed budget· Provide mentoring and technical support to a range of projects· Provide progress reports Should you feel that you suitably fit the above mentioned requirements please forward a cover letter as well as a comprehensive CV to candicew@caenviro.co.za Foreign candidates looking to apply MUST be in the possession of a valid South African work permit.
