This wildlife rescue, conservation and education centre is looking for a short term research assistant to help collect pre-release behavioural data on a pre-release group of about 30 Yellow baboons. The group will be released back into the wild at the end of November and until that time they are looking for somebody who can help collect behavioural data on a daily basis (foraging behaviour, group cohesion and predator avoidance). This project offers a great opportunity for students to gain experience in collecting behavioural primate data within a unique primate release program. Research assistants should posses a degree, biology/ zoology or any related study, and have some experience with behavioural research, preferably on primates.
The project provides basic housing for free (tent) and a food allowance.
